A brand For the Culture

Black Gold

The culture of the Black Gold Project is rooted in black excellence which comes from inner resilience, acknowledgement of emotional needs, past trauma, and recognition the system’s denial of what we have to offer. We recognizing the value in the struggle, we also learn to love ourselves, create, and build safe spaces where trust, innovation, hope, and humility abound. To truly flourish as a family we have to look at how our past trauma affects us now, and work on doing the internal work, which will allow us to fly in spite of perilous winds.

Merchandise (Merch)

The Black Gold Project logo, represents the people and the projects goals for the people. All over the world we are excellent, we strive to put our own spin on things, and bring the most worth out of very little. The name itself Black Gold, goes against what society has told us for hundreds of years. Wearing this is a declaration to everyone and each other that WE ARE VALUABLE. We are not porch monkeys, or spooks, or jiggaboos, or their favorite…

WE ARE BLACK GOLD

All proceeds from merchandise go toward production costs of creating content and paying partners involved in the back office portion of ensuring the project continues. We are starting where we are, and that is currently with Drop Shipping, we welcome black owned printers and textile makers to join with us in the process of ensuring the whole of our Merch Manufacturing process is benefitting Black Owned Businisses, and service providers. Keep reading below to find out how. Click the link labeled “Merch” to support the Project.

How to participate in the project

Partners, agents, allies, and contributors

As a brand, Black Gold will align with companies, creators, designers and innovators to create business opportunities for our community. With a commitment to the core values and a contribution to ensure the continuance and expansion of The Black Gold Project’s content and ability to support the community it was created for. The partners agents and allies will be able to show they are aligned with this project, and let people know their core beliefs relate to the healthy growth, connection, and resilience of the African Diaspora. The Black Gold brand has the possibility to have participants from every field, market, service, product, or group. We hold trust as the highest value for participation, because we are working to ensure the trust of Black People around the world. Real business possiblities with real products and services, tied to a brand with real impact and social relevance.

Partners:

Partners are on the people working behind the scenes on creating content. Partners have a stake and will be included in the partners portion of whatever revenue may be generated. Partners include people within the diaspora who create apparel, art, or any physical thing black people may want to purchase as far as exterior clothing jewelry, or anything else that shows outward alignment with blackness. What we wear should reflect what we value, ourselves being the first. Fashion has been in the control of others deciding what is available to us. The Black Gold Project is inviting designers and creators, seamtresses and seamsters, to create under this brand, for all of the variety of black bodies. Clothing made will be used in content creation, and the ownership of the designs will remain with the creators, and shared throughout the content created for the ACTs. Partner brands will be credited in every facet of production. People wanting to be partners can click below to be added to the list in waiting.

Agents:

These are people in the diaspora who want to work with the project but don’t work in content creation or production. They are working in areas of life that they want to help black people, they want people to know of their alignment with Black Gold, and they do things outside of fashion or other content creation. For instance Sports Agents, Specialty Services, Law Offices, Accountants, and other crucial infrastructure and/or other businesses and services. For a smaller stake in Black Gold they retain more ownership of their efforts, but still gain access to resources and relationship through agency.

Allies:

There are businesses i.e. Nike, Starbucks, Wendy’s, who work to understand the situation we as a people deal with. They want to help with the cause. We acknowledge them and are happy to work with them. We will align with them through products/lines they offer with the Black Gold label. The revenue of the products they sell with the Black Gold label will go toward the continuance of the Black Gold project, funding the continued content production, and support for the partners, infrastructure and process improvement and charities that BG supports. To be added to vetting list for allies click the button below.

Contributors:

People with resources who see the value that The Black Gold Projects bring to the world. They know the need of cashflow to make things actually function. In exchange for contributions, contributors are able to advertise as participants in the Black Gold Project. They will be mentioned in name as producers (in name) only in the content that is created. The will have (depending on their contribution) have ads placed in podcasts, and some videos created that will be seen by Black People who are socially conscious and invested in their own growth development and the health of their families and children. Contributors will not solely be chosen based on their ability to contribute, but in accordance with their history of treatment of the African Diaspora, and their efforts to maintain a relationship with us. Funds from contributions will go towards equipment and production costs for the ACTs and content creation.

Black Gold Approved

This is content of another nature. The content of relationship, partnership, and collaboration. In the spirit of The Green Book, used by black motorists to safely travel throughout the US, Black Gold Approved is a resource for all. Our list helps you find “Bullion”, our name for any location, product, service, resource, business, group, or ally that is contributing to black excellence and actively working to make positive change in the world. More of this will be talked about in the Brand Section, but people will be able to find content in the form of resources for us. Goods and services provided by family and allies, companies, medical providers, support groups, safe spaces for blackness, products, innovation, fashion, and more will be added over time, and you can have a part in creating this content.

You have heard of the Blackout Day July 7, 2020, we need to know where we can spend and re-circulate our money through channels that help us. With this in mind we have created a comprehensive survey in order to build this list, and make it available FOR FREE, for us to access and vote with our money. There is more to this list than being black owned or ally owned. These businesses are also reflective of Black Excellence and their participation in changing the world through cultural abasador-ship, and being an example to other businesses and the community those who will come later. Character Competence are all factors of being on the Black Gold Approved list. Share with your friends, and send us feedback about the vetting process. Click the button below to add a business you know of or that you own to be researched by the Black Gold Approved vetting committee. If you own the business, feel free to click the survey. Click below to share your “Bullion” with us and thereby the world.
