A big part of the black gold project is increasing positive imagery of black people in the stream of current imagery that floods our culture. There are tons of negative images impacting beliefs of people outside of our experience. Stories are told through images as well as words. Images that impact the beliefs and hopes of young people as well. The damage of negative imagery is often hidden and will often leave invisible scars.
The photoshoot and interview only go so far in this regard. But we will hear more from Danielle about her experience in the Black Gold: Sister Photo book. For now enjoy the photos. Check out the contributors.
The Interview
We talk with Danielle about some of her experience as a Black Woman. She shares things that have affected her and some wisdom about connecting with those around you who give support. Please like comment and share. Share it with someone who can benefit from her words and experience.
We will hear from the strongest of us first.
